The Malta Permanent & Visa Programme (MPVP) was launched in 2015 a residency programme which permits successful applicants and their dependents to reside, settle or stay indefinitely in Malta which also grants the right to travel freely within the Schengen Zone without further visa requirements.

The new programme falls under the Immigration Act and is available to the applicant and their dependents on condition that certain criteria are satisfied.

The certificate issued shall be monitored annually for the first five years from its issuance and every five years thereafter. The above information is not a fully comprehensive guide and maybe subject to changes by the local authorities from time to time.
